ExhibitionJun 19, 2026-Jun 28, 2026
Experience the art installation Thinking of You and show your support for survivors of sexual violence in war and conflict.
From Friday 19 to Sunday 28 June, you can experience Thinking of You at any time of day, just outside the Nobel Peace Center at Brynjulf Bulls plass.
The installation is created by artist Alketa Xhafa Mripa, who was born in Kosovo and now lives and works in the United Kingdom.
The installation honours survivors of sexual violence in war and conflict, and was originally created in response to the trauma and social stigmatisation of the estimated 20,000 survivors following the war in Kosovo in 1998–1999.
Thinking of You has been presented in Strasbourg, The Hague, Pristina and New York, and can now be experienced in Oslo.
Donate a dress
Would you like to contribute to the installation? You are welcome to donate a dress – either as a survivor or as a gesture of support for those affected.
The Nobel Peace Center will collect dresses from 8–14 June, between 10:00 and 18:00. All you need to do is speak to a member of staff in the Nobel Peace Center’s entrance hall, hand in your dress, and become part of a global art project that makes survivors’ experiences visible and recognised. Please note that dresses cannot be returned once the installation moves on.
