Postcard Campaign for Imprisoned Writers
All over the world, writers, journalists, artists, and activists are threatened, persecuted, and imprisoned simply for daring to speak the truth. But even behind dark prison walls, words have power. A postcard filled with solidarity is more than ink on paper. It is hope. It tells them: You are not alone. You are not forgotten.
Join us and give hope
The Nobel Peace Center, Norwegian PEN, and Amnesty Norway invite you to take part in a special postcard campaign. Stop by, pick up a pen, and write a message to someone imprisoned for their opinions and ideas. It may seem like a small gesture, but your words can give courage, strength, and light in the darkest times.
We provide everything you need: postcards, pens, and a list of people you can write to, carefully curated by Norwegian PEN and Amnesty. Feel free to bring children, friends, partners, or colleagues.
Together, let us turn postcards into symbols of resistance, courage, and solidarity.
All you need to participate in our themed evenings during Late Nights is a museum ticket. Remember to select the correct date and check off "Late Nights" when purchasing your ticket.
This is an event that normally has an admission fee. If you would like to participate but cannot afford the ticket, you can send an email to post@nobelpeacecenter.org to ask about availability. As long as there are seats left, you can attend for free. No further explanation is needed.
For your information: The Nobel Peace Center always offers free admission for people with asylum seeker or refugee status, as well as those participating in various work training programs.
