From Gaza to Oslo: Concert with El Susi
Elsusi is a rapper and music producer from Gaza, and in May 2024 became Stavanger's 14th City of Refuge artist. He started the band 'Revolution Makers' in 2009, which became very popular in Gaza. The band's music criticized the conditions for Palestinians and addressed issues such as corruption, poverty, and occupation.
Elsusi creates rap with Arabic melodies and is rooted in resistance and unity across borders. At Late Nights on September 24, he will perform songs of resistance and peace inside the exhibition War is Peace?.
All you need to join our themed evenings during Late Nights is a museum ticket. Remember to select the correct date and check off "Late Nights" when purchasing your ticket.
