Sondre Lerche is one of Norway’s most prominent and versatile international pop artists of this millennium. He is the rare performer who made a sensational debut as a remarkably mature teenager, yet has continued to evolve toward ever greater artistic heights. Most recently with the double album Avatars of Love (2022), described by NRK’s reviewer as “one of the best Norwegian albums of all time,” and winner of the Spellemann Award for Alternative Pop/Rock Album of the Year, along with numerous other nominations and honors.

The People’s Peace Prize Celebration and the mini-concert with Sondre Lerche are free for everyone. Everything takes place outdoors and is suitable for all ages, young and old.

ABOUT THE PEOPLE’S PEACE PRIZE CELEBRATION:

For the first time, we are inviting Oslo to join the Nobel Peace Prize Celebrations on an outdoor stage at City Hall Square, for free, of course!

Earlier in the day, we will screen the Nobel Peace Prize Ceremony and welcome laureate Maria Corina Machado on stage.

From 16:00, enjoy concerts, mini-lectures and inspiring speeches, leading up to the Torchlight Procession.

We’ll do our best to make it cosy in the December cold with straw seating, candles and warm drinks. The Nobel Peace Center is open 13:00-19:00, drop by the shop or explore the exhibitions to warm up!
