What is the connection between hunger and war, and food and peace? How can the vicious circle be broken and replaced with a vital one? What can YOU do to help build a more sustainable food system?
Join us on the 24th and 25th of September at the international peace conference & food festival FIX THE FOOD.
The Fix the Food conference is co-hosted by the World Food Programme and will take place on the 24th of September from 9.00 to 12.00 AM (CEST). It will be live streamed from the Nobel Peace Center to audiences across the world. After the conference, the Fix the Food festival will open outside the Nobel Peace Center with food stalls, inspiring food talks and activities for the whole family.
When the World Food Programme was announced as the Nobel Peace Prize laureate in October 2020, the link between food and peace was put on the international agenda. Almost a year later, the Nobel Peace Center will mark the end of a year of Exploring the Nobel Peace Prize.
We will gather Nobel Peace Prize laureates, decision makers, peace practitioners and food activists to stake stock of the situation for the world’s hungry and discuss solutions for a more sustainable food system. And we invite the public in Oslo to join the celebration at a different kind of food festival.
Stay tuned for updates on speakers and our programme!
