Family Day: The Journey from Dynamite to Peace
Alfred Nobel was the inventor who made his fortune from dynamite. He was also the man who later decided that his legacy should be used to reward people working to create a better world. This year marks 125 years since the first Nobel Prizes were awarded. But who was he really? And how did the journey from dynamite to peace unfold?

Tickets
Children enter free of charge but must be accompanied by an adult. Adult tickets cost 90 kr. All activities are included in the admission ticket. Register for either the morning or afternoon session.

Book Launch: Who Was Alfred Nobel?

Step into the curious, exciting, and adventurous story of Alfred Nobel! How could Alfred become wealthy through dynamite while also dedicating himself to the cause of peace? Can he and Bertha become friends again after she breaks his heart? And can life still turn out well, even when nothing goes quite as planned?
In this fun and imaginative performance, Karen Margrete Kilane and Hans Jørgen Sandnes take children and adults alike on a journey through the life of Alfred Nobel, as told in their new children's book Who Was Alfred Nobel?
Expect drawing, competitions, experiments, storytelling, and, of course, a few loud bangs!

Join us for a science show presented in collaboration with Teknisk Museum! Alfred Nobel was the inventor who made his fortune from dynamite and held an impressive 355 patents. He is also the man behind the Nobel Prizes, which are awarded in fields including physics and chemistry. With a connection like that, a little BOOM! is only natural.
Experience surprising demonstrations and exciting experiments featuring smoke, flames, soap bubbles, and liquid nitrogen, and discover the wonders of physics and chemistry in a fun, engaging, and safe way.

Treasure Hunt: Find Alfred Nobel’s Lost Belongings!

Alfred Nobel had a lot to keep track of, and like many inventors, he was a busy and sometimes absent-minded man. Now, some of his belongings have gone missing around the Nobel Peace Center. Can you help him find them?
Join a fun and educational treasure trail through the museum, solve puzzles along the way, and see if you can track down all the missing items. There may even be a real treasure waiting for you at the end of the hunt!
This activity is suitable for all ages.
