Accessibility

Everyone should be able to visit the Nobel Peace Center and have a good experience, no matter what level of accessibility is needed. Here you can find adjustments made to meet accessibility needs.

Children and Strollers:

Strollers: We assess whether it’s okay to bring a stroller inside, depending on how crowded the museum is. We also have strollers available for loan at the museum.

Children: We offer activity booklets for children from the age of 4 that let them play detective in the museum.

Changing table available in the accessible restroom on the 1st floor.

People with Reduced Mobility:

Ramp: We have a ramp to the main entrance of the museum.

Elevator: There is an elevator in the exhibition area. The exhibitions are spread across two floors.

Toilet: An accessible restroom is available on the 1st floor.

Doors: All door thresholds in the public area are adapted for wheelchairs, and door frames have universal width. There are buttons to open closed doors.

Wheelchair: All exhibitions are accessible for wheelchair users. We also have a wheelchair available for loan at the museum.

Visually Impaired:

Guidance Lines: Main routes are marked with tactile guidance lines, as well as attention and hazard zones.

Audio Guide: A free audio guide is available via your own mobile device through a web browser. Wi-Fi is available for guests.

Guide Dog: Guide dogs are allowed in the museum

Parking:

There is no parking for the museum. There are parking houses in the area.

Pets:

Pets are not allowed in the museum. The exception are service dogs.
