Nobel Peace Prize Exhibition 2025: Press Preview
Tuesday 9 December from 9:00 to 11:00
Each year, the Nobel Peace Center creates a new exhibition about the Nobel Peace Prize laureate. This year's exhibition highlights the work of Maria Corina Machado and the opposition in Venezuela, and shows how their fight for democracy has become a symbol of a broader gobal challenge at a time when authoritarian powers are rising and democracy is in retreat. The exhibition is officially opened on 11 December, usually by the laureate themselves, and opens to the public on 12 December. No accreditation required, but sign up with ibr@nobelpeacecenter.org
The Children’s Peace Prize Celebration
Wednesday 10 December from 11:00 to 12:00
A show created by and for children, with representatives of the peace prize winner as guest of honour. This year, the celebration will take place on the outdoor scene at the City Hall Square, outside the Nobel Peace Center. All children in 7th grade in Oslo are invited to be part of the audience.
Media accreditation is required. To apply for accreditation please send an email before Thursday 4 December with name, date of birth and publication to fredsprisfesten@reddbarna.no

People’s Peace Prize Celebration
Wednesday 10 December from 12:30 to 17:45
Location: Outside the Nobel Peace Center / Oslo City Hall Square
For the first time, the Nobel Peace Center invites the people in Oslo to take part in the Nobel Peace Prize Celebration from an outdoor stage at the City Hall Square. Throughout the day, the stage will be filled with mini lectures, music and inspiring speeches, and the Nobel Peace Prize Ceremony will be shown on a big screen. For media, this provides an alternative way to cover the celebrations at street level in Oslo.
