On Friday 6 October the Nobel Peace Prize for 2023 will be announced. The Nobel Peace Center is showing the press conference on screens outside the museum and mark the news by releasing a peace dove at 12.00.

Friday 6 October at exactly 11:00 am, the big door at the Norwegian Nobel Institute will open, and the chair of the Nobel Committee, Berit Reiss-Andersen will step out and deliver the news the whole world is waiting for: Who will be awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for 2023?

The press conference at the Nobel Institute will be open to accredited media only. Please find more information here.

This is the Nobel Peace Center's programme for the announcement:

Friday 6 Oct, 11.00: The Nobel Peace Center is closed through November due to necessary renovation work, but will be showing the press conference on screens outside the museum. Executive Director Kjersti Fløgstad will be available for comments. Children from the Save the Children’s Peace Prize Party committee will also be present.

12.00: The peace dove will fly from the windows of the Nobel Peace Center, carrying the news of a new Nobel Peace Prize laurate.

12.30 : The photo of the new Nobel Peace Prize laureate will be revealed in the permanent installation the Nobel Field.

Saturday 7 October, the Nobel Peace Center invites to a celebration of this years Peace Prize laureate, with a lecture by Berit Reiss-Andersen, Chair of the Norwegian Nobel Committee. The Nobel Peace Prize diploma will be revealed and a panel of experts will be discussing the prize. See the programme on our website.
