Build a papagayo
Be inspired by Señor Papagayo, the man who turned colourful kites into a symbol of peaceful resistance in Venezuela. Make your own papagayo and write a message of hope, peace or freedom.
Test your knowledge of the rules of war
Together with the Red Cross, you can explore international humanitarian law through interactive games and activities – and experience an escape room inspired by the rescue mission involving the White Buses and the resistance fighter Wanda Hegner.
Write a postcard that offers hope
Norwegian PEN and Ung Ytring invite you to a creative workshop where you can send a personal postcard to an imprisoned writer, journalist or artist – a small gesture that can mean a great deal.
Explore the world through cooperation
At the UN Association, you can take part in activities that demonstrate why international cooperation is crucial for peace and sustainable societies.
Learn more about human rights
Amnesty invites you to take part in activities and discussions about the human rights situation in Venezuela and how individuals can help bring about change.

Get to know the country at the heart of this year’s Nobel Peace Prize through music, food and cultural expressions.

The dove of peace flies with a message of hope from Peace Prize laureates
The festival concludes at 17:30 with a magical moment when a white dove of peace takes flight from Rådhusplassen bearing a message of hope from Nobel Peace Prize laureates Juan Manuel Santos (2016), Maria Ressa (2021) and Ales Bialiatski (2022), all of whom will be in attendance.
