Friday 9 October at exactly 11.00 am CEST, the chair of the Norwegian Nobel Committee, Berit Reiss-Andersen will announce the Nobel Peace Prize laureate of 2020. Who will be awarded this year’s Nobel Peace Prize?

Due to Covid-19 restrictions there will be a limited number of seats. Please register upon arrival. The Nobel Peace Center will be open from 10.00-17.00.

Programme:

11.00 am: The announcement of this year’s Nobel Peace Prize laureate will be live streamed

12.00 am: The Peace Dove will fly from our windows, bringing forth the good news of the week: the announcement of a new Nobel Peace Prize laureate. The Peace Dove will this day be released by Vidar Helgesen, the director of the Nobel Foundation from 2021 and our executive director Kjersti Fløgstad.

12.10 am: The children of Save the Children’s Peace Prize Party Committee will commence the official opening of the Nobel Peace Center Reaction Wall. Here all visitors can write or draw their reaction to this year’s Nobel Peace Prize announcement.
