Time: 24 Jan 2023 19:00 - 20:30 CET
Place: Vika Kino

Oh, Sister! is a documentary about six women facing the challenges of the ongoing Russian invasion, and fighting for peace, justice and freedom in Ukraine. Showing for the first time in Norway on 24 January in a special event co-organised by the Nobel Peace Center and Nobel Women’s Initiative. The screening will be followed by a conversation with Nobel Peace Prize laureate Jody Williams. The conversation will be led by Oleksandra Hrybenko, an Ukrainian journalist and PhD fellow at the Department of Journalism and Media Studies at Oslo MET.

The film builds upon the journey of three female Nobel Peace Prize laureates - Tawakkol Karman, Jody Williams, and Leymah Gbowee - to Poland and Ukraine in June 2022 where they met with displaced women, women’s and human rights organizations, humanitarian agencies and activists fighting for peace. One of the women featured in the film is Oleksandra Matviichuk, Head of the Center of Civil Liberties, one of the Nobel Peace Prize laureates for 2022.
