Each year, the Nobel Peace Center creates a new photo exhibition about the Nobel Peace Prize laureate. Welcome to the opening 12 December 2021!

Time: 12 Dec 2021 11:00 - 16:00
Place: Nobel Peace Center

This year’s exhibition focuses on Maria Ressa and Dmitry Muratov, which will receive the Nobel Peace Prize for their work for freedom of expression in the Philippines and Russia. The exhibition shows how journalists risk their lives and safety to fight against abuse of power and fake news in a world where truth, trust and democracy is at stake.

Here you will be one of the first to see two new documentary photo series commisioned by the Nobel Peace Center in Russia and the Phillippines in October and November 2021.

Nanna Heitmann has photographed Dmitry Muratov and Novaya Gazeta. She has also captured young, independent journalists in Russia. Maria Ressa has been photographed by Hannah Reyes Morales and created a photo series about the role of social media in the Philippines.
