Welcome to an artist talk with photographer and activist Rafal Milach, one of the artists represented in this year’s Nobel Peace Prize Exhibition.

Rafal Milach is a visual artist, activist and award-winning photographer from Poland He is co-founder of the Archive of Public Protetsts, a collective of photograhers, writers and activists who covered the protests in Poland after the election in 2015, that brought the the right-wing Law and Justice Party into power.

Milach uses his photography to support the activists, because, as he puts it: «the context of today is so divisive and aggressive that standing by and observing is a luxury we cannot afford».

Hear his thoughts on photography, activism and the power of protests in this artist talk, happening in the same room as the Nobel Peace Prize Exhibition is showing.

The Nobel Peace Prize Exhibition «Nobody Plans to Give Up» is about the Nobel Peace Prize laureates Alex Bialiatski, memorial and Center for Civil Liberties and highlights the role individuals and civil society play for freedom, justice and democracy.

The event is part of the series Nobel Peace Talks, highlighting topics related to the Nobel Peace Prize 2022. Nobel Peace Talks is supported by Fritt Ord, Hydro and Reitan Retail.
