Debates and talks

The Nobel Peace Center is not only the museum for the Nobel Peace Prize, but also an arena for current debates and topics.

Every other Thursday we invite you to debates or talks on topics related to war, peace and conflict resolution. The events begin at 18.00 and last about one hour (unless an other time is given).

The debates have free entrance for everyone and are in Norwegian unless other information is given.

I cooperation with  The Norwegian Atlantic CommitteeAgenda and  Europabevegelsen we invite you to an election warm-up. 8 MarchNo Women – no PeaceOn women’s role in peace negotiations. To mark the International Women’s Day 2018, we explore how the Peace Agreement in Colombia has impacted the lives of Colombian women and look at how the experiences from Colombia can be employed in other countries in conflict. NB! Starts at 16:00.

15 March: What is the Russian’s real opinion of Putin? On March 18th, Russia is going to the polls and Vladimir Putin is expected to start his fourth term as president. But how popular is he really? In cooperation with the Norwegian Helsinki Committee.

22. marsWomen in Charge: In cooperation with Civita and the Oslo Women’s Rights initiative we invite you to meet women’s rights activists from Libya, Iran and Jordan at the Nobel Peace Center.
