At the café Alfred, we welcome the Nobel Peace Center visitors, passers-by, tourists and neighbours alike to an informal and relaxed atmosphere.

Sit down and relax with a cup of coffee, a quick bite or something good to drink. Maybe your trip through the museum has made you eager to learn more about the Nobel Peace Prize laureates and their causes? Check out our books, sit down, read and relax. You can also buy our popular Peace Prize medal made of chocolate and other products.

You can also rent our premises for breakfast seminars, lunch meetings and events. Contact us on +47 90 57 16 54 or email to book a table or rent the venue.

The British artist Chris Ofili’s mural Earth Major Minor in Yellow and Green illustrates a peaceful world without borders. In the same way, we want the café to be a place for communication. Green is the colour of reconciliation, of nature, life and freedom.

Contenment is the only real wealth.
– Alfred Nobel (1833–1896)

Alfred is open:
