The Oslo Schools Peace Prize Exhibition 2005

The Oslo schools celebrated the 2005 Nobel Peace Prize laureates, the International Atomic Energy Agency and its General Director Mohamed ElBaradei with an exhibition at the Nobel Peace Center.
220 children between the ages of 6 and 15 years from seven schools citywide took part in the opening event Wednesday 7 December. Kjersti Gullvåg from the NRK children’s programme PysjPopBaluba opened the exhibition, and the celebration continued with pastry and soft drinks.
The children used puppets, masks, collage, sculptures, textile installations and other techniques to show how important it is to engage yourself for disarmament, peace and freedom.
In connection with opening the Nobel Peace Prize Exhibition – Make Power Not War on 11 December, Mohamad ElBaradei visite the school exhibition and got to meet some of the children who made it.
The exhibition was made in cooperation with The Norwegian Nobel Institute.
