Oslo Mela Festival

16 August 2014 10.00 -  17 August 2014 18.00

The Mela Festival takes place in the Oslo City Hall Square Friday 15 through Sunday 17 August. The Nobel Peace Center joins the festivities and offers free entry for all Saturday 16 August and 17 August Sunday 10-18.

The Mela also moves inside, and an exiting concert programme will take place in our exhibitions both Saturday and Sunday:

Mela Classic Saturday:

This year’s Mela is number thirteen since the beginnings in 2001. The festival spans multiple genres and include a variety of artistic expressions like music, dance, literature and theatre, with an array of events for children, youth and adults.

This years’ event includes among others: Wyclef Jean, Samsaya, Gentleman, Dubioza Kollektiv, Les Ambassedeurs, Mercan Dede, Shafqat Amanat Ali Khan and Salim Sulaiman Merchant.
