Oslo Mela Festival

15 August 2015 10.00 -  16 August 2015 18.00

The Mela Festival takes place in the Oslo City Hall Square Friday 14 through Sunday 16 August. The Nobel Peace Center joins the festivities and offers free entry for all Saturday 15 August and 16 August Sunday 10-18. 

The Mela also moves inside, and an exiting concert program will take place in our exhibitions both Saturday and Sunday. On our café Alfred, Club Mela will fill the place with great music.

CONCERTS
Mela Classic Saturday:
14.00 – Khan Strings
15.15 – Rosey Bramha
16.30 – Ustad Amjad Ali Khan med Amaan Ali Khan og Ayaan Ali Khan

Mela Classic Sunday:
14.00 – Kamal Sabri
15.30 – Bakshi Salamat Qawwal

Club Mela will be at Alfred, the café, on Friday and Saturday evening from 20.00 to 03.00.

PROGRAM CLUB MELA
Friday: Daddy Rings, Raggabalder and Selecta Dominic Reuben.
Saturday: DJ Static, NAD Jee and Jas & Amrit Daffu

This year’s Mela is number fourteen since the beginnings in 2001. The festival spans multiple genres and include a variety of artistic expressions like music, dance, literature and theatre, with an array of events for children, youth and adults.

This years’ event includes among others: Angeliqué Kidjo, Mari Boine and Gentleman & The Evolution.
